History: 1987-2007, We Celebrate 20 years!

DJ companies come and go. Crown Entertainment jumped into the entertainment business in 1987 and has grown steadily every year by always doing what we promise: provide you with a professional, enthusiastic and knowledgeable Disc Jockey that makes your event more than just a gathering, we make it a Celebration! At present, we operate 4 sound systems (all with accompanying music collections and backup equipment) and 4 disc jockeys are performing our 2007 season schedule.

Our Goals

The CROWN Entertainment's primary goal is to be the leader in Customer Satisfaction, constantly improving our service and expanding to meet the needs of our clients. We believe in this so much, that MOBILE BEAT, The DJ Magazine, chose CROWN Entertainment owner, DJ Terry Moran to speak at their first ever National DJ Convention in Las Vegas in 1996 on the topic of Customer Satisfaction! Our overall goal is to contribute to the complete entertainment needs of all people through professionalism, service and genuine concern for the best interests of our clients.  Since then, Mobile Beat has picked Terry as a "National DJ All Star" for SIX years, most recently for 2006!

Our Disc Jockeys

The "cheapest" DJ in the book may make sense at the time, but the party is in his/her hands, and if things aren't executed properly....well, you've heard the stories. If the event that you are planning is important to you, don't risk the unthinkable for a few dollars! To date, CROWN DJs have over 2,000 performances and have learned and perfected all the little things that make an event special. We can also customize any party with dedications, awards and surprise moments to add that special touch that you're looking for. Each DJ is experienced at interacting with you and your guests, tastefully involving everyone in the fun, without ever taking the focus off of YOU and the occasion itself!

Our Party Hosts come dressed for the occasion; usually in a suit for formal events, unless otherwise specified by the client. Of course, if you're planning a theme party (i.e. beach party, 70's disco party, Mardi Gras Party, etc.) we make every effort to fit the theme, with mood lights, the right music, games, and trivia, as well as being able to give you ideas for decorations.

Disc Jockey performance and professionalism is tracked through client responses on a monthly basis. Each client receives a "Performance Evaluation" questionnaire following their event. These questionnaires serve to ensure that our clients are completely satisfied with the services we provide. Equipment

Each of our sound systems is a professionally designed, visually attractive display with all of the components necessary for exceptional sound quality. In addition to a mixing board, speakers, and amplifier, our systems contain a handheld wireless microphone, 2 professional DJ CD players and 1 extra backup CD player. We use state-of-the-art equipment to provide our clients with the best in audio, performance and dependability for their event.  We are also phasing in computer based systems and backups to bring our whole music library on the road.

For those who like the tech talk, we use professional-level components from such major vendors such as JBL, Rane, CROWN Audio, Denon Professional, Stanton, Oddysey Cases, Samson, Shure, Cerwin Vega, NUMARK, American DJ , Electro-Voice and Peavey. No home stereo equipment used here!

Set-Up Information

When a booking is secured with CROWN Entertainment, our staff then contacts the location of the event, if necessary, to inform them of the date and time of performance, the dimensions of the space requirements, and to request a table for the disc jockey if needed. We customize a sound system for your particular event depending upon the number of guests and the size & characteristics of the room. The console, disc jockey area, and music collection require about a six foot square area. On the day of the event, the disc jockey or assistant will arrive approximately one hour before the scheduled start time. The system is set up and tested, then the disc jockey changes into appropriate attire and begins final preparations prior to your guests' arrival.
